Forres Baptist Church

Forres Baptist Church is now able to open its doors to many more community events due to the expansion and remodelling of the interior space at the Clovenside Chapel, Clovenside Road, Forres – part funded by the Berry Burn Community Fund. Events will be scheduled regularly and advertised on Facebook and in the SpotLight Magazines.

The Findhorn Flyers

The Berry Burn Community Fund held my hand throughout the funding period keeping me right. Although the Findhorn Flyers were only a small group, we were able to help two less abled people with their mobility.  The funding has kept us going for almost another year otherwise we would have folded last year.

Leanchoil Trust

Leanchoil Trust was awarded £11,450 for a feasibility study on the future use of the former Nurses’ Home at Leanchoil Hospital in Forres.

Healthworks Holistic Healthcare Ltd

We were delighted to receive funding from the Berry Burn Community Fund to support our project of replacing our front door with a, like for like, thermal efficient door. This will support our business by minimising heat loss, and saving on our energy bills. The lower energy consumption will have positive effects for the environment and is part of our goal to take the building in the direction of net zero.

Forres Highland Games

Forres Highland Games (FHG), with the generosity of substantial part funding from the Berry Burn
Community Fund and the expertise of Forres company A J Engineering & Construction Services, have
given their Games equipment storage shed roof a new lease of life. This will ensure the integrity and
use of this invaluable facility for the next 25+ years. The project removed old fragile leaking asbestos
cement sheeting and replaced with modern metal profiled sheeting.
Formed in 1928 FHG is the highlight of the Forres summer calendar. The equipment stored in the shed
is loaned free of charge to many local community events.

Brogan Hall

The Berry Burn Community Fund has been very generous to Brogan over the years, and has supported us to once again purchase a new adapted trike. As before, the older trike has been donated back to the Forres Community. Brogan has grown in independence, and loves having the wind in her hair and getting out and about in the local community that she is a part of.

Grantown Bowling Club

Our project was to repair the footpath around our green, replace the artificial grass on our bankings around the green, then complete the installation of a ramp and additional paving for access to the bowling green by less abled bowlers, guests and young people. The project was completed successfully in time for the 2025 season commencing on May 8th.

Forres Area Community Trust

A Consultant was employed by Forres Area Community Trust to advise and work with the staff, community groups and the Board on the potential ideas and plans for the Town Hall improvement Phase 2. The report has taken six months to collate and has now been shared with new members of the Board of Directors for their use as the Town Hall develops and becomes a venue fit for a range of uses in the future.

Grantown YMCA Community Centre (SCIO)

We are deeply thankful to the Berry Burn Community Fund for their generous contribution, which has ensured that our community centre is now fully fire compliant. This vital support means the centre can continue to operate safely, providing a welcoming space for the many groups, clubs, and events that our community relies on. From young people to the elderly, the centre is a hub where individuals connect, learn, and thrive. Thanks to the Berry Burn Community Fund, we can keep offering these essential services, fostering a sense of belonging and support for everyone in our rural community. Your help has made an incredible difference—thank you!
